Default Bluetooth Audio Problems

I've a new 2013 RX with the navigation system and am having an issue with BT Audio. The BT connectivity seems fine -- phone works great, audio connects and plays music -- but I am unable to skip to the next folder or album. The system will let me forward a song within the album that I'm in, but it doesn't provide the "side" arrows that will allow me to control the album (folder). This function is explained in some detail on pg275 in the Navigation manual.

Has anyone else had this problem and, if so, how did you resolve it? Without this functionality, I'm forced to go back to the BT device to control album selection -- which defeats the whole purpose of having BT integration with the vehicle.

By the way, I have an iPhone 4S that is current level OS.

You can only browse or navigate Playlists while under the USB/iPod tab NOT BTA

Forget Bluetooth audio if you want all the whistles and bells. Hook up an iPod classic to your USB an hook your phone up with Bluetooth. I have a 12 and drove a 13 this weekend. You can get the album covers and many other little things plus you get better sound through USB.

Just loaded IOS6 onto my iPhone 4S and everything now seems to work "as advertised". Upgrade to new OS seems to have made the difference...

...almost enough to make me upgrade to IOS6 but I like to wait for the .1 release (ie, 6.1) to pick up all the bug fixes. I've read about WiFi and Maps issues.
