I love my flaps. My snow brush sits on top of them.

What I REALLY miss is the under floor storage slot for the cargo shade that my 2RX had. Actually, there are a lot of things I miss about my 2RX.

I store my umbrella and anything that makes my car look messy on the flaps. I also got my windows tinted over the smoked factory glass. Can't see anything inside even if u try and I can see out. I also use my cover all the time.

Update on my RX cargo cover-

I have dealer ordering new clips for a 2012 model so I can put them on my 2013. These were $60 total but since I was buying the car new, I got them for free.

I did have to buy a 2012 cargo cover (from sewell lexus--was 50% cheaper than dealer quote)--that was still expense ~$450 or so...

I hated to spend that on a brand new 2013 car to fix Lexus' poor design decision, but I really prefer to have a completely enclosed cargo area.

Appreciate the update. Too expensive for my pocket book, so I'll just be envious of what you have!

Default I've solved the problem by keeping a black sheet in the cargo area

to cover up items that I do not want people to see.

Default cargo cover

I just got a 2013 and couldn't find the flaps and was very disappointed when I realized they were gone. I used them for anything lightweight that I needed to move from the back seat to the back. And I agree that you can see the contents in the back very easily. In reading the posts I find that more might have been changed since my 2007 because the flaps on that model just snapped on to the headrest posts. No special connectors were needed.

I own a 2013 RX450h and the gap between the seat and the tonneau cover bar bothered me. I considered buying one from a previous model (eBay has them from $190 and up) but I still did not have the clips on the rear seats. I guess I could have had a dealer order a set for me (read here about $60), but then I started thinking there had to be a cheaper alternative. I decided to buy a rear (bench) seat cover (like folks use for pets) with straps that hooked to the rear seat head rests, cut it to size and used velcro to fasten the other end to the underside of the tonneau cover. It works and looks great and it does the job for less than $50. Something to consider if you do not want to fork out a lot of money.

Default Flap for 2013 RX450h

Hi Bert, took a couple of photos today. As I mentioned before I bought a bench seat-style cover (cheapest black one I found on Amazon) I trimmed it to size with some sharp scissors (you can make it drape as much or as little as you want) then I attached it to the underside of the bar with heavy duty velcro and used the straps to hang it from the headrests at the other end.

Total costs: $29.81
- Bench Style Back Seat Cover - $18.42
- Industrial Strength Velcro - $11.39 (I already had this at home)

I think at some point I am going to try and do the 40/60 split, but for now I am in happy with it the way it is and am in no rush.

Hope the photos help you see how it all came together.

I actually notices the opposite the other day... even with it pulled back in my 2010 which does have the clips BUT there is a gap between back window as it doesn't cover it completely and allows you to see stuff inside... which I really don't care but thought it was odd that it didn't cover it completely.

Is the cargo cover an option or included with the RX350?

I hate those damn flaps on my 2012... All they do is rattle and make noise
I'm going to lay my full size umbrella on top of them like someone here mentioned, and see if that helps.
If not, they're getting taken out!
