what year is this RX? i bet it's a 2010?
if it's coming off from a lease, the person who leased it can buy it for around $27,000.

but since you're buying it instead.. $30,000 is a good deal.

I tried hard to get Lexus dealers to drop the price and no one would budge. Im sure they will now since the 2013's are out but back in April when I bought mine they wanted more then $37,000 for a rx with 30k miles.

Why not lease a 2013 instead?
you'll probably put down $3000 or even less.
and you get the option to buy it after the lease at a competitive price.

there's also a 0.9% financing which is very attractive.

When buying a used car, everything is a negotiation. Educate yourself about used car values in your area before you start negotiating. Know the private party sale market, dealer trade-in values and dealer selling prices. These will give some reference points. Then make some intelligent decisions around price and set a target price. Just go in and select a few cars at as many dealerships as you can. Make some offers at your target price, leave your name and phone number. Start negotiating. If you are realistic and your analysis is sound, you should be able to pick something up for a fair price. The price only has meaning relative to the market and the exact car (condition, options, tires, warranty, etc.).

My Dad used to buy late model used cars. He had a relationship with the dealership where he would let them know what he was looking for. The dealership would give him a call when they got a really nice car. He always managed to pick up like new, very low mileage cars.
