Yes, all Lexus hybrids including RX450h globally are made in Japan. Most RX350s are built in Canada. There are reports of some RX350 coming from Japan with special options like HUD. As to quality, lots of debate, even more emotion, but qualiy awards for both plants have been pretty much the same In recent times from what I've read here on the forum.

When my dealer showed me the two they got in last Friday he said both were from Japan,,one a RX350 and the other a hybrid.............sadly the RX350 was AWD which is not really popular here, at just over 50K....I noticed the ones at Longo Lexus in LA were all priced at $45-47; so not so loaded, but probably have NAV!!

I dared to go to the dealer today. I thought I might get caught up in the moment, I did not. Anyway here are my pics from what they had. They had received 9. The first 2 are the regular 350 and the last is the sport appearance, which I don't care for. Had to get a picture of the LED's on. Looks like the headlights will fit a 2010-2012. Like the new tail lights too. Head light swap would be expensive, maybe I'll wait for someone to wreck their's and get the scrap parts. LOL. I noticed they have painted the grill a color this time, nice, the grill emblem is smooth, no honeycomb background, all nice. Smaller steering wheel and the metal accent on the glove box is nice. I still think I will wait for the complete redo, only 14k on my RX no need to change yet.

I'm with you MEP. I only get new gens, not refreshes. BTW, the LED daytime running lights look better with the LED headlights

These were at Arrowhead Lexus which is owned by the Berge family who also owns Bell Lexus. I have had nothing but good encounters with them at Arrowhead..

I remember when I first joined this blog that a few from Phoenix area had problems with Bell for some reason.... I think most Lexus dealers are top notch....
My dealer had a new " Claret Mica" one in front of the dealer ship when I drove by with no camera; looked awesome!!! It looked more "Claret Wine" dark red; better than the
pic on the website!!

I saw the 2013 model. Very nice face lift including eyes (headlights) but its the same car the new thing now is LED on headlghts and an improved navigation that includes things like Yelp, Bing, facebook which runs off your mobile. but, you will pay for those up- grades and its pretty much the same car. I purchased a New 2012 the same day i sat in the 2013 and im extremely happy coming from a 2010 RX350. I picked up my new car on 5/10/2012. The engine has been retuned to now accept 87 octane.

We just got a 450h at my dealer. Believe it or not the Sport Mode actually works! The Steering feedback is tighter, and the motor sounds a bit burlier. This was a FWD model in Nebula grey. I'll try to snap a pic when I'm back on Friday

I took my 2007 RX350 in for service in Charleston, SC this morning. They has a 2012 and a 2013, both Silver, parked on the showroom floor, side-by-side, so you can compare. I love the new grille and headlights on the 2013. They also had a 2013 with a new color (Claret) that was gorgeous. I almost drove the Claret home but discretion is the better part of valor.
