I did - twice. In one case dealer picks up vehicle for warranty work leaving behind a "new" loaner. The second dealer located near relatives that we visit often so it works out pretty well.I use local Toyota dealer for normal routine service First RX purchased "99 - no problems with distance to date!

Alan, that is quite impressive.... this thread had made this issue fade away....
Now, gotta wait for the RX F Sports to hit dealers, from what I have learned, mid summer at the earliest...

I bought mine from a dealer 850 miles from where i live and 150 miles from my vacation home in FL. He delivered it for free to my FL home. Its been a good transaction. Any Lexus dealer service shop will take good care of you regardless of where u bought it, and Toyota shops can do most of what you are likely to run into for less money than the Lexus shops.

A hundred miles is nothing.....many parts of the country are hundreds of miles away from a Lexus dealer. My closest dealer is 45 miles and the next closest is 82 miles; no big deal, the cars don't go in very often.

Some of the options I like are so hard to get in the SE, I may have to fly to NY or LA for my next car. No problem if I sell my current one 1st. Last time I sold it CARMAX and got more than 2k over what the dealer wanted to give. It was near enough to full retail to just take a check from them .

For me it is not so much the 100 miles but the time that can take. It shoots a day, and that is a workday for me. I bought at a dealer 80 miles away, maybe 85.
I have the regular maintenance done at a Toyota 6 miles away. And I think I may never see the dealer until it is time to trade for new

I just purchased a 2012 RX 350 Tungstin Pearl at a dealer 65 miles away! I got a better deal( I think). My local dealer was about $2400 more . We do have a dealer about 12 miles away.
Our local Toyota dealer installed my door moldings and mud guards!
I went with the best deal!

New Lexus owner. I have had my Lexus RX 350 2012 about 3 weeks and I love it! Question? Can I take this Lexus to any dealer for the basic 5000 mile check up? I purchased it in Rochester NY (Dorschel). I Live 65 miles away. We do have Northtown lexus 12 miles away! Does it matter?
