Hi guys,
I'm newbie here. I'm very interested in 2013 Rx 350. This is going to be my first car, hopefully. ( never owned car before haha)
I live in the east coast and I just called my local dealers and they don't know anything about 2013RX 350. They don't know when 2013 is coming out. Is there difference between west coast and east coast lexus dealership? Should I contact west coast dealer to find out the estimated date?
Thank you!

Welcome to the forum and hopefully the Lexus Family soon!

No, you are right. Official detailed information on the 2013 RX has not flowed out completely yet. Note Lexus.com still shows 2012 models for example. The new RX was shown in Geneva a couple weeks back at the first auto show of the year, with just a bit more detail than that (a few pictures and generic option lists), but no prices, availability, or geographic specifics as of yet. We're all waiting for some shoe to drop any time. Hang in there. In case you have not found them in the multiple 2013 threads in this forum and over in "Car Chat", key links I keep pointing people (and my dealer) to on what is available are here:

I believe I read somewhere that the new 2013 RX would be available this summer.

Lexusenvy1: IMO there is lots of well-meaning speculation about 2013 RX availability, but no concrete facts. I don't believe at least US dealers have, or can, reveal many facts. If you believe in timewarps, that's sorta what we are in. Today's Lexus Marketing announcement for example, provided no more info than the generic basics we had a couple of weeks ago. Even in my case, where I've had cash ready-to-go and a solid deposit in place for an order on a 2012 RX450h since Nov 9, 2011, and given Lexus delivery delays, switched that 4 months later to a 2013 model the day of the Geneva preview with my dealership salesperson and GM -- as of this moment, my dealer still can't provide a solid build and delivery date to me. Those facts seem pretty solid and true information IMO. Lexus Marketing may think they are building global excitement repeating Geneva generic corporate announcements, but at least for me as a loyal new-purchase customer of multiple Lexus vehicles since 1995, not providing availability dates and more specifics by now for the US is only giving me more agina. That isn't what I expect from this brand. As such, I don't read this forum as often to keep my blood pressure down, and I treat all speculation as just that, but am hopeful I'll have delivery by the late June or early July timeframe on my new 2013. I'm trying to suck it up and am OK if some generic non-special ordered 2013's hit the lot before then, but will only let my excitement grow when real confirmation of something comes. I at least have my trusty 2006 RX400h that I still enjoy and drive nearly every day until then.

My suggestion for you, is if you are like me really wanting a 2013, just hang tight, take another deep breath, and work with your dealer as I have to gain confidence they'll get you what you are looking for, just as soon as it's available to them. We all know they want your business, and will do what they can to get you that car of your dreams ASAP.

Default 1st New Car ???

Raymond
Welcome to the forum, you're in the right place. Between here and Lexus.com you should be able to get enough info to stay somewhere between entertained, confused, and educated . Most of us fall into that category somewhere.

You're stepping into a pretty nice car for it to be your 1st one. Congratulations, most of us have been through more cars than we have fingers and toes to get here. Speaking for myself, I'm envious .

Keep us informed of your progress/questions and we'll try our best to help you.

Thank you everyone especially BertL.^^
I guess I will just have to wait and see what happens.
I was just curious because one of the leaked japanese brochure, it said April.
Hope the Lexus let us know soon. If I hear any info from my dealer, I'll let you guys know asap.
Thanks guys. Great forum!

Default I am in the same boat

Going from a 2006 SRX Cadillac to a RX350; my dealer has about 40 in stock, and about 15 2011, so he doesn't even mention 2013, just that they DON"T discount these very much, so I will wait patiently for a 2013. I recently had an oil well start produciing on mineral rights I own so will step up to a Lexus; the new SRX's seem very un-dependable!!!

I agree with above poster, when you show a new model, it should be followed by some type of release date to assist loyal customers in buy decisions.... that has not been the case here, too bad...

Even if they slowly hit May, the few available always go for premium pricing, so if that is an issue, better wait. Also, as mentioned above, its possible excessive dealer inventory of the 11's and 12's might delay the release of the 13's. Lexus can play the global game, sending to dealers who don't have any back log inventory.... its always a cat n mouse game....

Lexus.com stated that RX350 and RX450h are coming in May 2012 while F-Sport model(s) will come in August 2012.

...and I just confirmed with my dealer that my 2013 RX450h order was accepted by the factory on 3/21, so I should be one of the first with delivery. That IS a after all this time!

How'd you figure it all without new pricing?
