I use the heated steering wheel in my car more than i thought i would, trust me if you have this feature you will use and find it useful.

Do your passengers grab the steering wheel like in the BMW commercial, LOL!

I knew the suggestions about driving with gloves on would arise--but I hate driving with gloves on! If Lexus wants to keep up with other companies then that feature should be added....The LS, LX, GX and now the GS all have heated wood steering wheels so adapting it to the RX should be a no-brainer.

Interesting, the leather areas are warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer than the wood. If the car has been sitting in the heat you can't touch the wooden part of the steering wheel. Would you believe I leave an extra pair of gloves in the car in the winter?

LOL! No but they do like to touch the wheel to see if it really is heated.

I guess I'm the only one not having problems with the cold on the wooden steering wheel, which I prefer than leather covered steering wheel.

Just more or less curious if you will be able to get the new headlights and the new Enform.... If not, I'll wait for the 2013 for another 3-4 months then...

The advantage of gloves is that it warms both inside and outside of your hands. The heated steering can only warm inside of your hands and leaves the outside cold until your heater warms up....

I'm thinking about the headlights as well on a '10. Hopefully the grille as well.

I am really wanting a remote start that i can use an iphone app to start from a long distance. I have a long walk to my car at work that takes about 10 minutes. It would be nice to have a warm car when I get to the parking lot. Does anyone know If it is coming or already exist. I have a friend that has one that came stock on an Avalanch . Seems like it is time for Lexus to do it too.

Jim,

Secretaries do many things, including correcting misspellings and usage errors in correspondence (alas, not generally web missives). I believe car starting would come under the realm of a personal assistant's job and not be part of a secretary's duties.

Regarding a smartphone-enabled remote start, I doubt we'll see that on the the 2013 RX refresh as it is not offered in the all-new 2013 GS.

You're probably right on that score.

And as I noted I was just having fun. If I'd have asked my secretary (or assistant) to do such a thing, there would probably have been a grievance filed on top of wondering why so many well oiled tasks that made my office look good turned to errors and confusion. .
