Isn't the chrome trim around the windows and the lower molding standard on all Gen 3 Rx's? Speaking of chrome, I really like the 19" chrome wheel skins on our RX. They really work well with the existing chrome already on the truck.

I'm considering the mud guards too. I installed the same exact guards on the 2002 Camry we owned prior to the RX. They looked great and were super easy to install.

Yes, definitely better to try to put the mud guards on yourself. Lexus charges $275!

Just installed mine yesterday. No drilling needed. Got them from Sewell and the trick I have found is that when ordering from them try to batch your order together as they ship things together and they don't hit you with totally individual shipping charges.

I'm sure it felt good installing the mud guards yourself. Congrats. The 2nd gen RX required drilling, what a pain. And great idea about grouping shipments from Sewell. That's what I usually do. Adding a few things like wiper refills and the cabin filter raises the shipping cost nominally.

I paid quite a bit more for the mud guards from Sewell three years ago when they were new. But at least the dealer installed them for free.

I have these on my Starfire Pearl RX and they definitely protect it during the winter months here in Wisconsin. Well worth the money and they don't look bad at all.

Default Mudguards for 2013 rx350

Has anyone done the install on a 2013 rx 350? Where can I order them? I pick my car up tomorrow and really want the guards.

I think this is what you are looking for. If you register with them online and provide your CL username you will get a discount. You can check the price through your dealer part department also.

I'll add the mud guards are $54.74 plus shipping from CL sponsor, Sewell. That's the price with the discount. Since you haven't picked up your RX yet, see if your salesperson will throw them in. Congrats and be sure to post details and pics of your 350 here.

Default RX Mudflap Installation

I recently installed a set of four mudflaps on a 2015 RX 350. I ordered them from Bell Lexus through Amazon. (Price $60.00) A set of easy to follow instructions was included. (In the absence of the instructions, I would have had a hard time figuring out the proper method of installation. I have noticed a huge improvement in controlling the road splatter. I highly recommend installing these yourself. (I am not mechanically inclined.)

I just found these on
Amazon Amazon
. Stealership wanted $240. I didn't lay eyes on them, but these are suppose to be the Toyota P/N that fits the '10-'15 RX350 and 450h.

Those are the ones I purchased from Bell Lexus through Amazon. They should come with a set of installation instructions which will make the job simple. The mudguards make a huge difference.

EA6BMECH,

Thanks for posting. I ordered a set from Bell via Amazon link on Sunday and they arrived today.

They took 20 minutes to install taking my time. I just needed a ratchet w/10mm socket, a Phillips screwdriver and a 4mm Allen wrench.

They included instructions with the mud flaps.

My wife and I installed ours today from Bell through Amazon. It took us about a half hour but it would have been quicker with the correct size metric socket, I used a crescent wrench and had to lay down on the driveway to see what I was doing. Most of the install time was me getting up after each one. :=)

The 1/4 inch drill bit looked too big for drilling holes for the rear guards but worked fine and the dimples were right where they needed to be.

Nice, clean installation and the RX is ready for our next adventure.

The front right guard installed.

The screws are existing on the front, remove and then reinstall. The screws are new on the rear guards and require drilling though plastic.

Each guard had a hex head screw on the bottom that gets removed and then reinstalled.
