Thanks 164287356 for the response....I do not need to do anything to my 2010 RX because it is an Ultra Premium--the only Ultra Prem package for 2010. I am gathering information because I am hoping to purchase a 2013 and fear those packages may be the same and I really hate those seat extenders that are standard on both Canadian Ultra Premium models...and as you know those are the only ones that get the parking sensors, Mark Levinson, illuminated door sills, the wide side view camera and a few other goodies...(mine does have the rear DVD and the HUD).....May I suggest a project for you that many of us on here have complained about---Can you figure out a way to light up the buttons and switches for evenings in the overhead console - the sunroof switches are dark as are the homelink ones (we don't have Enform in Canada so we still get the sunglass holder). If you can make that happen, many of us would be very grateful....and shame on Lexus for not fixing when it was first mentioned!!

oh I see, for the 2011 and 2012 model, there are two ultra-premuim package, the one with rearDVD and HUD is ultra-premuim 2 package........I have looked up that post, and I think about it before, but as we know, there is no space for the illuminated LED, and these buttons are also fixed(even we add a LED, the ligths still cannot go through), so I am thinking on it. I have a idea, wipe out a small piece of plastic on the back of each buttons, and them the buttons are becomes very thin, then add a LED, I guess the lights will goes out. But, it is a dangers action because we may totally distroy the buttons.....or we can just simple daub some luminous paint(something we may seen before, it will lights up like light green color when becomes dark) on the number "123" and "close open" of the buttons. Although this way will not let the bottom light enoughly, but it is the easiest way I can image....

As you know, the 2th gen RX does not have parking sensor feature in NA, but it has in other country, so guess it will pre-wired, just need to look up the electronic wiring diagram.

Theoretically, this idea is working, but definitely cost so so so much to replace parts, more than buy a new one. haha

How easy is it to get that wiring diagram for the parking sensors for generation 2? I have both a 2009 and a 2010? Is that something that you have access to? If you do, I would be interested in getting that diagram as well!

I am interested in installing the parking sensors. What parts do I need to install? Whats the difference between the intuitive parking and the advance? Also do you have more details about the ML sound system? easy to install? what parts did you buy? Do I have to change out my head unit to in stall that radio? Thanks for your help!

Hey amazing write up. what site did you get your mirrors with cameras & the steering wheel switch for the side mirror controls from? do you happen to have the lexus part number for the steering wheel switch? my 450h has the parking assist and i want the power folding mirrors, so i figure i may as well go for the ones with cameras and upgrade that too.
