Default I wonder if any product planners from Lexus

I'd say they've reduced the engine and exhaust noise probably because of customer complaints, but then I've only got a sample of one to go on here...
ever bother to read this site and others like it. We can complain among ourselves and to our dealers as much as we like but it seems to take a VERY long time for changes to appear. Maybe the moderators should find a way to contact Lexus USA & Canada corporate at the VP or above level and make them aware of the site and the comments made by the consumers of Lexus product planning. Mr. Toyoda was just here in Cambridge last week praising the workers in both the Corolla/Matrix/RAV4 and RX350 plants, but if he never hears or reads what the consumers who live with the cars every day feel, then changes will proceed very slowly.
And I do not think that expecting lights in an overhead console is ****, even my 2002 VW Passat wagon had lights for both the HomeLink and the sunroof controls. And they still worked when I traded the car in!

Kwbuggy,

"...corporate at the VP or above level and make them aware of the site and the comments made by the consumers of Lexus product planning."

Joining the Lexus Advisory Board is one way to be heard. Another is joining Lexus Facebook. I don't use Facebook often, but the one time I did it was a straight pipeline to a very helpful person.

I don't know about this site specifically, but on the Cadillac CTS site, I know that Cadillac Customer Service has someone monitor the site. Think about it. They would be absolute fools not to do so. Where else can they collect such valuable information and get it absolutely free.

I HAVE 2011 RX AND HAVE TOO MUCH ENGINE NOISE AND ROAD NOISE. HAVE 10 K ON IT. ANY IDEA OF HOW MUCH I COULD TRADE UP TO A 2012 FOR?

You will still pay quite a bit trading your '11 for a left over 2012; it is just business!! And it probably sounds the same!!

I believe the 2012 added a tad more sound deadening material. Either way it would be cheaper to dynamat the firewall and under the carpet in the cabin than try and trade up

Man this thread was resurrected from the dead

Think of it this way. They know what your car sold for. They know what they made in profit. If new your car lost 20% when you drove it off the lot. If CPO it might have lost as much if not more since a traded in CPO doesnt maen anything to a dealer but would to a private buyer. So you could count on your purchase price minus 20% and I would not rely on any additional discounts since the leftovers are becoming slim pickings
