@Jamie, not sure which dealership told you this, but it's not true at all. None of the tires need to come off and it took me about 20 minutes or so. You can buy it from Sewellparts.com (comes out to about $66) and they also have installation instructions right there on their website for you to download. Pretty straight forward and simple.

I just put them on the other day. Sewel's instructions are spot on except you do not need a drill. They claim you need one to drill holes to mount the rear guards to your bumper. The indents are already there (if you bend down you can see them) and I used a leftover nail from building my deck to just poke through the plastic. It took me about 30 minutes and removing the wheels was not necessary at all.
Tools:

10 mm socket
Phillips head screw driver
4mm Allen Wrench
Sharp nail
30 minutes later you'll be done.

MX5 is right, no drilling required for me either. I actually just used the same screws that came with the kit to puncture through the idents. It was nice and easy.

Remove the tires to put the mud guards on Even when I put them on the 330 and had to drill holes, all I did was turn the wheels.

No problemo. I am getting them installed tomorrow along with A-pillar and along the top of the windshield. I'll post a new topic to cover the clear-bra instead of highjacking threads when the questions arise.

Thanks for the feedback, I kinda thought the dealership was feeding me a line in hopes I'd let them do the install. Looks like another project to add to my husbands honey do list!

Thanks Anita and Happy. I must admit I'm loving it so far and I'm a male driver (not sure why so many claims the RX as their Wife's car). Also, I'm coming from the Lexus IS300 manual car to the RX. I guess I am getting old. We test drove a few other SUVs and I really thought I would choose the Q5. But instead, I find myself falling in love with Lexus all over again the moment I got behind the wheels and test drove this baby. I ended getting the RX with silver exterior and black interior, same as my IS300.

^The 3rd gen is definitely not a wife's car.
