Default Faint Beeping When Driving

I hope there isnt something wrong with my ears

but passengers with me have also noted this. Randomly when I am driving, I hear faint beeping in the car. It is not a loud beep such as ones that come from the parking assist, or from accelerating too hard in EV mode. There is no error message. It is the same kind of beep as the above mentioned but not loud. It is so faint you can barely hear it and I have no idea where it is coming from or why. Obviously this doesn't give you guys much to go on, but I am curious if anyone out there has experienced something similar.

Who knows, there night have a bomb under the car

A beep like when your smartphone receives a notification and you're connected with Bluetooth and the beep goes through your speakers kind of beeping?

Got me with that noise Music drowns everything. Maybe somebody is tracking you. Time to get one of those mirrors to look under the car

Happened again this morning when the wife was driving. She comes home and says, "what did you do to the car? Did you turn on some sort of setting?" I looked at her like she was crazy.

Silly question but have you checked your tire pressure lately? Some vehicles (not sure about the RX) have a sensor that will go off if your pressure is a hair too low (but not low enough for your TPS to catch it). I usually will be set off by the vehicle entering a turn or otherwise having swaying movement.

I forgot to mention this would be an intermittent problem and would be low in volume and would be coming from somewhere inside the dash. Hopefully this helps.

Have you pissed off any of the local Ner-Do-Wells recently? Like Anita says, might be time to get a mirror on a stick and some Kevlar Undies.

Uh, I just remembered a dull, low, flat toned beep I got once. Parking Brake !!! But if yours has been on this long you might wanna take it in for new parking brakes

If it were a park assist I think the beep would be more audible but then again I don't know what level tone RXSF has it set at.

I did some more digging on my theory and found this Q & A. Take it for what it's worth coming from the intarwebz but it could be something to look into. I guess the RX does have the thing-a-ma-do-bob I mentioned above.

it is the same beep tone as park assist but it is not nearly as loud. In fact if I had the radio on constantly, I would not be able to hear it.

I will manually check tire pressure but the 450h has the readouts for each PSI and each hovers around 31-33

@RXSF Where are your keys when you drive?
There's a beep that goes when the key is a bit distant from the sensor.
Normally it shouldn't go ON when the key is inside the car, so you my need to add that to your checklist of possible explanation.
And you should get some warning in your dash about it as well.

That's the 1st I ever heard of it. To my knowledge there is nothing in the manual about that.
