66 here and bought our 2010 450h two months ago. Other car is an older Lincoln (chassis is from Jag XJ-S, so very nice handling). Have a '69 427 Vette under a car cover, keep planning to get it repainted and minor mechanical needs. Electrical Engineer by education, mostly worked in sales for HP and Apple, started a small company that was involved in setting the HDTV transmission standard a few decades ago.

One grown daughter, two dogs, "Indy the Wonder Dog" and "Daisy From Kentucky." Both dogs ride in the back seat (protected by a heavy blanket) and get their own side windows for sticking their heads out. Photo is of the dogs and the old Mercury Mountaineer which went to car heaven two months ago.

Before the Mountaineer, the Vette, before that an exotic turbocharged motorcycle (9 years and 70K miles on LA freeways, must have had 9 lives). Before that a Mustang, before that a bicycle, before that I walked.

Fascinated by the variety of folks on this thread.

Mid 20s, Married, no kids.

Picked the RX for Toyota reliablity ( Have a camry at 180k miles, rock solid car) but wanted a bit of luxury, IMO SUVs are the best vehicle they really aren't much bigger than a car in length and width, more vertical room, you sit higher, 4 -5 people capacity with plenty of cargo room, able to tow a little, AWD for weather and not ideal terrains, and the power is good too.

50 yr old married Mom to kids in undergrad and grad school. Also Mom to 2 fur-kids. My RX is my newest Baby Girl! LOL I tease my daughter that she's lost her place as Baby Girl.

2000 RX300 is my 17 yr old daughter's. When I started researching various used cars for her, I was pleasantly surprised of the condition of many Gen1's and their comparable prices to much lesser quality vehicles. My wife had previously leased a 99, and we always regretted handing it back in.

That value, combined with its' moderate size (not too small in case of accidents, and not to big to create them), great sight lines, big side mirrors, taller tires/AWD for the winter, AND of course the great support of the CLUB LEXUS forums to keep her running; made the purchase a no-brainer for a first time driver. Just wish her gas mileage was better.... :-(

Now this experience is making me research the 400h and 450h's for myself. If/when I pull the trigger, I will add my own stats to the poll.

32, married and two kids. One's 7 month other is little over 2.
Bought a 2013 a few years ago. Had an accord, then a Venza. Liked the Venza but wanted a bit more luxury so here we are today.

Hi,
My first post here. I'm 45, married with 3 children. Currently I have a Sequoia Limited, an Alphard 3.5 and a V6 Honda Accord 7th Gen other than a 3rd Gen RX 350. The Sequoia and the Alphard are family transport, the Accord and the RX 350 are my sanctuary.

The RX 350 is my first Lexus. Bought it used less than a week ago. Generally I'm very happy with it. Just sent it to the dealer for 60k km periodic maintenance and found a part that needed to be replaced. Other than the worn tyres (which I intend to replace in the near future), everything else seem great.

Looking forward to many years of happy ownership experience.

I'm 55 and wife is 54, only the youngest of our six children occasionally rides with us in the vehicle, but that will soon stop as soon as she gets her own car in the coming months. Our RXh is my wife's vehicle. My DD is a 7.3L crew cab diesel F250.

New to the group, I’m 72 and my wife is 71. We love this car, it’s a ‘13 and we fell in love with the metallic brown when we saw it in the showroom and took it home a few hours later. Tho’ I’m a ‘car guy’ my wife is not a big car fan, tho’ she tolerates the most expensive (‘02 Corvette) of my many hobbies. The big HOWEVER is that she loves her car and I’ve never seen her feel that way about any vehicle.
It’s been great, tho’ I did join the forum because I’m seeking ways to lower the costs of repairs and maintenance.

I hear you. Same age. Got tired of being overcharged at Lexus dealer, and come home with new problems. After years of delegating, this year I was back to doing my own basic maintenance (2010 (@ 101k kms).
Meh, oil change was super easy. As was re & re all 4 brake discs and pads.
Saved a bundle too. Will probably leave any major repairs (if any) to either dealer or local trade mechanic ..or purchase another (used) RX. Good luck with your 2013.

We are both 66, we have a female Irish Wolfhound and a male English Cocker Spaniel, no kids at home. The 2015 RX350 was acquired a year ago and is my wife's daily driver. She previously had a 2000 RX300 (acquired in 2003) and a 2004 RX330 (acquired in 2007). My daily driver is the 2013 Subaru Outback 3.6R Limited. I DIY the maintenance on all of our vehicles.

Early-40s, married, one 6 year old and one infant less than a year old. This is my second RX and a big step up from the RX400h I just sold. RX450h is our family car and it is an amazing SUV to drive. The suspension/chassis are extremely well sorted out. A lot stiffer than the RX400h I had before, but not uncomfortable at all. Love the steering in sport mode.

Late-30s couple, we both share the 2013 RX 350. My father-in-law bought this vehicle brand new, it's ours now. Hoping to own this car for as long as internal combustion is a thing, and for maybe a while longer. Learning how to take care of it.
