If you search this forum, there are a few threads with some excellent pictures of the OEM door edge guards installed. Here is one post, but there are more:

The key is not to bump your door edges against anything. It doesn't matter if you have door edge guards installed or not. They will look equally ugly if you have too many chips on the edges. I plan to be very careful as long as I own the car. And if one day I can't stand it any more I will install the guards to cover the chips on the edges up. I read the install instructions on Sewell's website and found it destructive. So if your car is new may as well leave it untouched. That's my 2 cents.

Good find. You can also get them direct from Amazon here.
Amazon Amazon

Strange that they have these setup as subscribe and save but you can go that route and get them for $18.18 shipped and just cancel the subscription after ordering.

I don't think so. We've had Door Edge Guards on our CR-V for about 8 years with no signs of failure.

I have them on my 2012 and the passenger rear did come loose and fall off. I took it with me with I had my oil change and they say it was "sprung". So, they ordered me a new set (all 4). The dealer will now have to bring me a loaner for a few days to install it. A lot of hassle for a $25 part. Oh well, that's what the warranty is for. (I asked them to ship me the replacement (I leave 1.5 hours from the dealership) and they said they had to have the old part to send in for warranty. (but, they kept it from the oil change!) So, mine lasted about 9 months before one fell off. Hope this info helps.

I put the lexus ones on as well as the body side molding....seems they are a magnet for door dings so I put on the body side molding...looks good...had the dealer add it as part of the deal on a 2012.

Door was not properly cleaned with "Kleano" to remove all wax and contaminents or it would last for many years...your dealers fault, NOT Lexus; but that is the game some play; painted plastic that thin does NOT get sprung; the high quality 3M tape used would hold anything there if a clean surface!!!

Just installed OEM Door Edge Guards that I've purchased from Sewell. Color matched the doors perfectly.
They look just like on the picture linked a few posts above. Hope they will stay on and save the RX doors (and my other vehicle in the garage, too).
