RuninRoach, I'm glad you made it out alive. That's wicked scary.
In my situation I had to leave because that picture was taken where I park. The storms were still far from over. If I waited, the asphalt island my RX was sitting on would have been gone. There were already a few cars nearby that had water up to the bottom of the doors. Going home I hit two bad spots within a mile, both at intersections. I made sure I stopped before to avoid sitting in water and let other cars pass in the opposite direction to avoid the waves. Believe me, I know how insidiously powerful water can be. I have no plans to take my RX swimming again. He likes playing in the snow more anyway

Had something like that happen to us yesterday except with tree brances. A tornado warning was issued for our area and we went to the basement just in case, just when i remember the lexus is parked outside. after listening to the wind and berating myself, i go out an hour later and all the broken are just surrounding the car nothing but a couple leaves.
