Default Carbon Fiber step bar

Anyone here have any info if such a step bar exist? I've been searching for one as that ones that I've found are just an added weight and doesn't help with the mileage.

I doubt the CF step bars will really make that much difference on gas mileage compare to standard bars we see on the market.

To me, this RX is one of the vehicles on the market that looks better with out those step bars.

I agree. I love the look of step bars on 2nd Gen RX's but somehow I don't think they jive too well on the current version mainly because I think it clashes with the chrome strips at the bottom of the doors.

Thanks for the replies. So far the ave. weight (both bars) are 38lbs so I thought that makes a difference. The bars are basically for function (wifey is short) so it was just a thought that occured as I went on to search for one. But she later said that it's not that hard to get in.

I agree about it being better without it. And if we did went with it, I would have gotten the black so it'll just blend in.

^LOL, just thinking that any added weight would affect the mileage. I'm ok with it coz I'm not a lead foot but wifey is. Right now, she's still learning on when not to step on the gas. I drove stick shift for years and know when to step on it and when not to.

Wouldn't it be a cool idea to have a carbon fiber running board/step bar without that added weight?

Definitely cool if we have one. The regular running board looks awesome too.
