Default Aluminum skid plate

Hi everyone! New guy here with a 450H inbound for the wifey.

Ive searched but can't find any info for the aluminum skid plate that I've seen pictured on European models. Has anyone installed it or know of the part #?

I think it makes the front end a little more aggressive looking. The standard black skid plate make the bottom front end blend in too much and it look like the whole car rides higher. I guess no one here has tried the retrofit. I'll see what I can find out and will report back.

Correct. I believe there is a matching rear end too

On the UK site it's called the front and rear "underrun" option.

It is supposed to protect the radiator and engine from rocks an debris. I'm sure it's not a true heavy duty skid plate for off-roaring by any means but it does look good IMO. It visually lowers the front end making it look a little more "masculine".

My theory is that since Europe does not get the GX or LX, the RX is targeted at men and hence all the options and accessories available to them. Just my theory.

^It should be since both are the same trim.

Does the plate come in black? Do you have the link to the euro parts center?

Could you please provide the link or a useful search word that led to the web site? I tried searching for it but couldn't find one.

Not for plastic. I'd rather have someone customize the piece for the same price in some kind of metal. I'd be afraid of the plastic discoloring.
