I am nearing 1000 miles and averaging close to 21. Last tank was 21. Also my evening commute is in stop and go traffic. So it is actually doing lot better than expected.

Balling I have no idea how it's possible but it's the 3rd time I fill up and it gives me a range around 350 miles on a non hybrid RX #BP

This is NY you understand. Land of high tax and crooked politicians.

NY is a lot like IL. That is one of the reasons I moved from IL to IN.

It used to be premium was 10% more than regular, now it's 50% more than regular in the Chicago area. They apparently been taking lessons from the drug companies.

That just proves there is price gouging going on in the Chicago area when it comes to premium gas.

Still holding pretty steady in my mileage, with about 18 city, and 22-24 on the highway.

As for gas prices, on Wednesday I paid $2.79/gallon in San Jose, CA for regular. On Thursday I paid $2.75 for premium in Portland, OR, and today I paid $2.39/gallon for premium in Everett, WA.

Sure hope your mpg stays positive for you. But--- past experience tells me otherwise. I tried everything whe I had my 2013 rx. It was horrid. Mpg was as bad as any car I ever had. Loved the car otherwise. But I pity the poor person that bought it as used.

Suffice it to say I'm not worried. It's been consistent for over 25,000 miles. That's not going to suddenly change.

I have well over 40K on my 2013 RX, and have consistently achieved the exact same result as you. Average 18 mpg local, and 22-24 highway. BTW, I tried premium gas once or twice, and found no detectable difference in mileage.

Our RX has been a real pleasure to own.

Same as you, I tried premium with no noticeable difference. I even asked my wife to pop premium into it sometime without telling me to see if I could guess when she did it. I failed.

Same here. 2013 with 71K miles, 18" wheels @ 34 psig, pretty consistently get 21-22 city and longer trips 24-25 highway with speeds at 75 or so.

Unhappy Super low mpg on rx 350 2012

Hi Guys,

I just bought a l/certified rx 350 2012 and drove it for 3 months.It has 64,000 miles now.

I'm in Chicago and it usually 30F this winter.I usually use it for shopping food. Any trip is below 20 miles. I totally use it on local street. The car computer told me my avg speed is 9 miles/h. I found that my mpg is unbelievable low. it's around 14 mpg. Is that normal?
