We are traveling in FL today getting 23 mpg at 74 mph on 87 octane regular. It's a FWD with 31K miles now.

Forgot to mention it's an AWD and 87 octane. I haven't noticed any difference in fuel economy between 87 and 91. If anything, it seems as if I get higher mpg with 87.

21.4 MPG for first 5K.
Not a lot of Interstate in this 5K, and I am impressed with that MPG.

21.4 is definitely good mileage for non-highway driving. I have heard that mileage improves after few thousand miles on the vehicle...not sure what the technical reason is....more Is good in mileage.

During this time of the year my RX has improved to 22 mpg average. I'm ok with that on 87 octane.

2012 RX-350-awd.

|Onefastdoc,

What was the temperature when you raced uphill to Vegas from California? If you keep your speed down you will get much better mileage, even a Prius would get terrible mileage driven so agressively in the middle of the desert

Uh, yeah, I think anyone would know that. Obviously driving at higher speed, uphill, passing slower cars, desert heat is going to diminish fuel economy. I wasn't trying to get good fuel economy. I was trying to get to Vegas ASAP. I am simply reporting what kind of real world mpg I get and the conditions in which they were obtained. Clearly I drove more conservatively coming home and thus the improved mpg.

On a side note, I checked out the new MDX. Has a usable 3rd row and 28mpg. Hmmm, tempting.

18.5 mpg (12.7 L/100 km) on my 2012 AWD RX350 using 87 octane - commuting to/from work through a mix of city roads and 45 mph (70 kph) roads.

Swapping my 10 for a 13 today.
Lifetime average on the 10 was 21. Mostly highway, but usually at 80 to 100 mph, so not too bad.
Hope the 13 on regular does as well as the 10 on premium.

I'm actually surprised with everyone's mpg base on highway and city.
I get higher mile on highway than city. The battery weight, weights down the car so much while driving in the city, so much push is required.

I have a question, did anyone experience when ECO mode is on, there's a delay of thrust unless you press the paddle all the way down to get full thrust. does anyone experience this?

I have 4000 miles under my belt and am getting 22 mpg on highway and 16-18 mpg in city driving (Washington DC metro area).

Actually I notice same with mpg. Locally 28-29 mpg but 32-33on highway. I'm good with that. Eco mode I'm used to but my wife mentioned the lack of power first time she drove etc. normal I'm told . Helps minimize mpg reduction etc. I keep in Eco.
Now this is for 450h. I notice this is 350 forum. Although Kitiz thinks its the 450h in his/her response to lartsai comment.

Yes your right, I'm driving a 450h. So just wondering if anyone experience that.
In addition, how do i know if I have a AWD or not? I know that's a stupid question but i bought the car in Taiwan and they only sell fully loaded or nothing loaded.
