To fade like halogens,
Maybe...dimmable LED? But I have not seen any dimmable LED for car yet.
I had replaced the halogen bulbs at the courtesy light by drivers/passenger feet with 2W LEDs i found on Amazon. They are not listed as dimmable but surprisingly they slowly fade in and out when turning on and off.
They worked well for parking lights too. Brighter than the 1W Vleds five LED bulbs. Nice and bright but the drivers side had a bad connection or something and melted in the housing. Back to halogens there for me.
I bought a pair of said highly rated quality chrome 7440 Stealth bulbs for the rear turn signal bulb change and they bombed badly.
Too dim when blinking and also too orange.
I remember the Philips WY21Y working well in my '10 RX but are no longer available.
