Aftermarket Intuitive Park Assist
Intuitive park assist is not avalible on the RX without special order in my area. Lexus dealers have begun to sell an add on system from Audiovox Electronics. It is Advent Parking Sensors Model PSS100 for $795/bumper installed and painted to match. Does anyone have experience with this system or similar retrofits?

To begin with, is the system they are flogging integrated with the RX, similar to the original? I doubt it does; my dealer tried to sell me one and it was no different than the ones that are selling for less than $50 on Ebay. If you are a DIY type of guy, this may be your most cost effective solution. You get a dashboard display and along with the audio feedback, and everything else concealed, it's not a bad solution. The sensors themselves only protrude from the bumper cover about the thickness of a dime. They have a selection of colors, or you can color-match it to your car. I'm toying with the idea of installing one myself, as despite having the backup camera, sometimes I get a little careless and either gently bump into walls or almost do. Doing it could save an expensive re-paint of the bumper cover. I sometimes wish they'd bring back the chromed steel bumpers of old.

I just got my 2010 RX350. I thought it had the Parking Assist but I don't think I have it. If the Aftermarket was as good as from Lexus I would have considered getting it. But it appears from your post it doesn't work the same
