bits of filter foam from vents
2010 RX 450h.
Occasionally little bits like this fly out of the interior air vents.
Maybe left over bits from a badly degraded interior air filter, making their way through the system? That happened 3 or 4 years ago when it was very hot. It may have been a substandard filter replacement.
Could it be something else?
Thanks

The interior HVAC vent duct seams of almost all modern vehicles are wrapped with very thin sheets of foam insulation. As the years go by, that foam breaks down and gets blown out the ducts when the HVAC system is running. The best thing to do is just to keep vacuuming up the blown-out foam in your cabin and forget about attempting to do any repairs. It is impossible to get very far into the ductwork without removing the dash (which would be a monumental job).
