Default Lexus Lease?

I currently have a second generation RX and I am thinking about purchasing a third generation model. A friend suggested a pre-paid Lexus lease. Anyone out there with a lease on a RX 350? I have never leased a vehicle, so I am looking to hear the experience of anyone who has leased with Lexus and/ or done a one pay lease. Please post any positive or negative experiences. Thanks.

is all the same, just a matter of how much interest you paying at the end.
no different on maintenance service, but lexus might charge you a few on damage on the vehicle if you not buying out the car at the end (if there is damage)

One pay lease is a big no no. Every Lexus lease come with a gap insurance. Essentially if the car is total during the lease period. You can just hand the check you get from the insurance company to Lexus and call it a day (if the check is less than what you owe Lexus. If the check is more, you get to keep the difference). With a one pay lease, you hand Lexus a lot more money up front and chance are that you will not get your money back in case of totaling your car. But you should look into making mulitple deposition on a lease. Lexus allow up to 9 deposit and they would reduce the money factor by 0.0008 per deposit.. It work out to a saving of about 11 to 12% of you deposit. I leased an 08 LS460 now in 12/08 and I put down about 9500 security deposit and save about 100 a month including saving on sales tax (in California, where I live, tax are based on the lease payment and it is around high 9% now)
