Thanks Sevn86. I didn't think so, but I had to ask. I saw a video about a complete led install and the installer was wearing gloves.

I didn't use gloves either. And I don't know what people are afraid of. Changing out the interior bulbs is one of the easiest mods to make to the RX. You can see the results right away. Doesn't take that long to do either. I'd give it about a 4 or 5 on a scale from 1-10. It's only that high because of the rear dome light. The puddle lamps are more difficult but for a different reason. The cracking noise it makes when removing the inner part of the mirror is not for the faint of heart.

you need to wear gloves when you are installing HID lights as the grease from your finger will create a hot spot on the lense and the lifespan of the bulb is greatly reduced. LED do not have that issue.

cafpaf. I believe the video was on youtube, but don't recall the exact subject matter I used to find it.
Also, I have since deleted that particular part of my search history. With that being said, I would rather follow the instructions of the contributors on this forum. You need not go any place else.

cafpaf. Go to this site and click on lexus is250 2006+. The install for some of the units appears to be very
similar to the current RX. This will help some.

I had the same hesitation pulling that mirror off afraid I was going to break something. After giving it a shot, I was amazed at actually how simple it was to remove. As long as you do it correctly not a whole lot that can go wrong. Piece of cake.

Use protective tape and pry from underneath after tilting mirror up

Do the same with the top after tilting down:

Remove the 4 obvious screws:

Here is how the mirror is attached. Pretty hard to mess up?

Pry open the other piece and now you can get to the light housing:

Pull it out and change the bulb:

Put it back together and viola:
