if you say that you have yellow headlamps, then you dont have the bi xenons. easy to just turn on your headlights and see if they are white or yellow.

If your projectors are closer to the grill, you have HID.
If they are outer, you have halogen.

not true. if you get the bi xenons from the comfort package, you get the auto high beams which puts the bulbs on the inside towards the grill.

If you get it ala cart in the options, you just get bi xenon without auto highbeams and the bulbs will be on the outside, like the halogens.

halogens = yellow light
bi xenon- white light

The owner's manual should tell you that.

The HIDs have a color temperature of 4300k. So while they are "white" they are still slightly yellow since 4300k produces the most light visible light. This website explains color temp pretty easily (with pictures)... http://www.automotivelightstore.com/hidfaq.aspx

For bulbs either HIDs or Halogens bulbs I recommend http://store.ijdmtoy.com/

I've purchased a lot of bulbs from them and they are reasonably priced. I've bought blue 6000k D4S bulbs I replaced the HIDs with and also the H11 LED bulb for the Fog Lights. Both were simple replacements.

Not sure if you have Halogen or HID, but I'm pretty sure you have a halogen DRL bulb, and if you are like me you hate the color yellow with a passion...

Definitely switch out the halogen DRLs for LEDs...makes your bulbs look white/bluish in the sunlight. IMO, the LEDs looks a lot better than turning on your HIDs during the day; since the DRL bulb housing is so big there is more surfaced area to reflect off of.

I purchased my 9005 LED bulbs from http://www.automotivelightstore.com

http://www.automotivelightstore.com/...bulbspair.aspx

But that was before I found out about iJDMtoy...which is cheaper...

Since you are leasing your car, keep the original bulbs and swap em back in when you return the car. No one will know...but just make sure you don't touch the bulbs with your bare hands...

I found this site: http://www.danielsternlighting.com/home.html to be VERY helpful and informative. You can read and learn lots and even email the guy and get direct answers. If he doesn't have what works best for you(which happened with me), then he directs you to a place that does. Service above and beyond!!!!!

I don't think this pic is a xenon assy.

I don't think Lexus offer Bi-xenon for the 2010 RX without auto highbeams. Unless it's aftermarket parts. I've never seen one, and it's not listed in the brochure as an option. Also, I've checked the repair manual, it is showing only three headlight assy, LED, Bi-xenon(inter lights), and halogen.

If someone has this, I would love to see the assy. I know lexus uses D4S Denso system, if it's other then that, it is not factory parts. Also, for bi-xenon, when you first turn on the lights, you should see the auto-leveling sweep.

if you look at the lexus.com website, under options and accessories, the bi xenons are an option without auto highbeams... iono if that is a misprint.

Keep in mind for color temperature, the more you deviate from 4300k the more your visibility at night will decrease. Especially with Halogens since your light output is already less than HIDs.

My headlights are on the inside close to the grill (not like the photograph above from wyau01). It was an $875 option on the window sticker.
