Default Mudflap Install

Just received a set of mudflaps from Sewell. The install was easy. I marked the spot with a pen where the self-tapping screws touched the plastic area and then slid the clips over the mark on the plastic piece. The plastic area is relatively soft and no drilling was required. The install probably took all of 15 minutes for the four flaps.

Ended up ordering mine from parkplace Lexus https://www.parkplacelexusparts.com. Even though their price is $62, Its free shipping for orders over $50. So I went with them over Sewell which was ~$67. Can't wait to them on the rx...

Default Lexus Mud Guard Instructions (PDF)

I ordered a set of mudguards for my 2016 NX200t F Sport. Installation was very easy, including drilling into the plastic trim.

Enjoy.

I put mine on about a couple of weeks after I bought the car. Looks OK. I wish they were color matched with the paint instead of black. The first gen RX had color matched mudguards..

Found a few listings for them on Amazon while searching for Weathertec floor mats for my '13 450h. Honestly don't check if they were aftermarket or OEM but I would guess both can be found there.

I got mine off of Ebay just a few weeks back. They came from Bell Lexus I believe. Took about 20 mins to install and work great!

That (installing screws without drilling a hole) can be done but the screw will not go through the felt lining behind the plastic and will leave a gap between the plastic edge and the felt. That means mud and debris will go into that gap and be stuck there forever, possibly causing rust inside. I would therefore recommend drilling holes at the dimples so that the screw goes through the felt lining, leaving no gaps for debris/ mud to go inside. My $0.02 😀
