Bought a 2010 RX450h two weeks ago, did our first multi-hour trip last weekend. First Lexus, gorgeous car, smooth as butter, dark grey exterior and black leather interior. Most options, AWD, GPS, 19" wheels (which will be more expensive to re-tire one day, would have preferred 18"). Spent an hour this afternoon trying on a tire chain to verify size. Here in Portland Oregon (actually a suburb) we get snow/ice maybe every other year. Had 1/2" of ice this past New Years and chains were essential for the side streets.
Very pleased with the car and Kuni Lexus has been extremely nice.
All that said, I already miss my old car, a 1997 AWD Mercury Mountaineer with 177,000 relatively trouble-free miles. In a neighborhood of Beemers and Mercedes I took great pleasure in driving the old beast. Plus I could take our two big black border collie mixes with me--each one had their own rear window. But alas, the 302 V8 had a weakness--the timing chain cover is bolted on with bolts that GO THROUGH THE WATER JACKET. Brilliant, Ford. The bolts eventually leak and the fix involves removing the engine at $3,000+. Okay, so Lexus gave me a courtesy $500 trade value. For all I know they probably took the Mountaineer out back and put a bullet through it. Although a backyard mechanic could put some time into it and get a very rugged if old AWD ride out of it.
But back to reality. The Lexus (tentatively named "Sparky") is just a wonderful car. I've already gotten big towels and blankets so the dogs can't trash the leather. Happy Camper here.

I have a 2010 RX 450 h w/ FWD and now have 226,000 miles basically trouble free. Most (95%) of miles are highway miles so that may make a difference. It still is the most comfortable room in the house. Enjoy the ride.

Hello. Just purchased a used 2012 RX450h with 36k miles. It's classified as a 'Limited' version here in Switzerland, not sure what that means ultimately. It has Navigation, HUD & Sunroof. Black exterior with beige leather interior. This would be our secondary vehicle as our primary car has been a Toyota Prius. We have had Toyota vehicles for the better part of the past decade and were happy to continue along those lines.
