Just hang a plumb bob off the mirrors and measure the marks.

Default RX 450h Width with Mirrors

Without any help from Lexus I went to a dealership and measured the width of the RX.The width is slightly less than 84" with the mirrors out. They should have this information available to consumers like most of the other auto makers do. Toyota (and Lexus) seem to be resistant to making this information available.

This may sound simplistic but I'm assuming you can manually fold the mirrors back. That should gain you a couple of inches.

I measured my 2011 RX350, it's about 83 inches outside to outside with mirrors extended. My neightbor had a very large Lexus SUV and a center post garage. They folded the mirrors to enter/exit the garage; however, I believe they were electrically operated mirrors.

This response may be simplistic--just get a 2013--they all have the auto-fold mirror feature--push a button on the mirror control and the mirrors tuck in. My 2010 has that feature and i have it programmed so that the mirrors tuck in when I lock the vehicle, but there is a separate button to tuck the mirrors in as well as one to fold the mirros upon locking.

Be careful. Here in the US, the power-folding mirrors only come with the premium and luxury options. The standard model without these options has manually folded (not electric and push-button) mirrors.

Trust me something is wrong with that measurement. I have measured my garage doorway twice and it is 94" wide. There is no way I have 20" to spare when I enter the garage. The only way I feel comfortable pulling in is if I pull in as close as possible on the drivers side. By that I mean my mirror clears by 2" on the left side.

I measured my RX and it is approximately 74" wide with a 5" extension per side for the mirrors.

So about 84" total. That probably is right. If I can talk my wife into measuring the space between my mirrors and the doorway as I pull in, I should be able to verify that number.

Other than the car's width, make sure you can open the door to get in and get out of the car without problem.

I agree, I got 84" too. I realize the OP is long gone and has probably either bought another car or another house at this point, but this info might be useful for others.
The 2 standard single car garage door widths are 8' and 9'. The 9' is more comfortable and more common, unless space was a real issue when the house was built.

Actually it is the actual max width of the body without the mirrors.

The track of the wheels is 64.2" and 63.8" for the front and back respectively..

I love this answer. You are not boxing the RX ... you are boxing yourself in.

I searched high and wide for that measurement before I asked my wife to join me in the garage. I don't understand why this measurement is not on every brochure. We moved and have single door garage openings, so this is a critical measurement for us in factoring the ease of pulling in or backing out without retracting mirrors.
