Replace only with OEM glass.
I got a star right in the middle of the windshield about 30 days after purchase. Yes, angry wouldnt be the right word. Fortunately I'm with AAA and they had no problem paying for OEM glass from lexus dealer. I understand the OEM Lexus Part has sound deadening layers and after market (if available) glass wouldnt. Total cost was $1500 part + labor. Be sure they order the moldings too. They didnt say it was anything more difficult than any other install, just a different p/n. Also, if you have rain sensing wipers, be sure the sensor works correctly after new glass is installed. There are different glass p/n. THe parts will ask you the cars VIN and some features. They asked if I had Rain sensing and/or HUD. I had neither, but I guess there are 3 model numbers.

budyl is correct I recently got a crack on the windsheild but its not big enough and it has not gone across. So currently i cannot get it replaced. but i am planning on doing it when expands. I talked to the dealer and she told me that I should make sure that the glass is OEM so that it works with my rain sensing wiper system.
anyways good luck with yours!

Most after market windshields have an acoustic layer and rain sensor option, but unfortunately for you guys, the 2010 RX is too new, oem is the only choice right now.

No HUD or rain sensor, so hopefully it is not a big deal to replace.
The star is in the upper left corner of the windshield (driver's side), and it is expanding. I don't think it can be repaired.
Thanks to everybody for the advice. I'll definitely replace it with OEM glass.
