ok but has anyone who has a 2010 RX figured out where it goes??
Mine's been in the garage since I bought it. I routinely carry lots of stuff in the back (two sets of golf clubs, etc) and the hassle of putting it in and taking it out is not worth it. My 2007 had storage under the back which was neat. I liked that.

I actually like the look when it's in, but, heck, the reason we buy an SUV is that we carry lots of stuff, right?

Gee, if I can get $180 for it, I might do it. That's ten cases of beer! (at least, I live in New Hampshire and beer is cheap here!)

I have added additional tints on my back windows, so it's hard to see, unless you really stick your face up against the window using a flashlight. So mine is sitting in the garage as well. It will probably go back on when/if I sell it.

My first inclination upon hearing the price was to think about selling it to some needy buyer, but if I eventually sell it to a knowledgeable buyer or offer it as a trade-in, surely something will get deducted from the value of the car. Sorry needy buyers - I'm going to leave mine on the shelf, unused and under-appreciated.

Hi: I noticed two levers (one on either side, inside, back area) near tonneau cover. If I push them down, will the tonneau retract automatically when back door is opened? I have been sliding cover back manually. Thanks. Mark

I have not used mine in years, but the two levers you describe regulate whether the cover will automatically retract when the back door is opened, or whether it will stay in position. As to whether that lever position is up or down I can't recall, but it's easy enough to determine that.
You won't hurt anything - push the levers down and see what happens.

Thanks! I'm laughing, 'cause at this stage, I'm afraid to push anything/any button or lever, till I know for sure what it does.... Now I'll have the confidence to PULL THOSE LEVERS! Again, LOL, and thanks. Mark

I think the levers you are referring to, tdgandmsb, are the levers that release the rear seats.

The circled levers in the first picture are the ones that lock the tonneau cover on the 2nd gen RX. If I remember correctly, the 3rd Gen does not have the locking feature, as shown in the 2nd photo.

We took ours out the day we got the vehicle and it has sat in the garage ever since. We have grey interior, although we wouldn't sell it anyway.

The photos and notes above from Coffee are correct. I recall when I test drove the new models I asked about the cover, even though I do not use it; the 3rd Gen models (this year and last) do not have the levers to allow automatic retraction, which surprised me, and they also do not have a dedicated place under the mat to store the window shade device when not in use.
Now that I think of it, there is not much reason for it to sit in the garage, as it could easily go back into its little cut-outs under the rear deck floor, except that it's not very quick to get it out of there and install it into its tracks. Still, if it were something I used from time to time, I would find these two changes to the 3rd Gen models not attractive at all.

I wouldn't have mind to leave it in the car but it just makes too much noise.
