ok, i just got a loaner rx330 and have a ques about the moonroof controls. first i was surprised that it wasnt a one-touch operation to open or close the moonroof. secondly, why is it that both switches control the opening and closing AND the tilt? meaining, i can use the switch labeled "TILT"to not only tilt the moonroof open, but also to fully retract it as well. same thing for the other slide switch.
on my gs400, the "tilt" switch will only tilt the moonroof up and back down. and the other slide switch will only retract and close the roof. the reason this was a problem today was i could not tell when the roof was fully closed. i had to let go of the switch and guess when it was fully closed. otherwise it would close, then go straight to the tilt position. i know this is confusing . remember, this is a loaner and i have no owners manual to consult. any ideas???

sounds like your moonroof hasn't been initialized. on the PDI (pre delievery inspection) the tech is suppose to initialize the moonroof.
you can do that my holding one of the button to do cycle of opening and closing. just hold, i believe, the close button and the roof will close and continue holding the same button will cause the roof to tilt and then open back up . after one continue cycle, the moonroof will be initialized

it will then be one touch.
