MP3'z in the RX330
I was wondering if it is possible to make MP3 cd's and play them in the stock deck or the mark levinson deck (if there is any difference). Thanx for the help in advance everyone.

MP3s won't work
dreday68, I don't think that the stock player would be able to play a CD that has MP3s on it. However you can play an audio CD that has tracks converted from mp3s to CD-audio format. Infact I play them all the time. I have several thousand MP3s on my hard-drive and I constantly burn CDs that contain the MP3s converted to CD-audio and they play without any problem.
BTW, I think the above would be true for ML systems and stock systems.
Hope this helps.

get an fm modulator
if you have a laptop or a mp3 walkman you can just plug an FM modulator ( $30) into the headphone out jack and broadcast right into your FM stereo on an unused station:

I am in the process of equiping my RX300 with a few goodies. My tiny laptop (SONY V505) will be used to play MP3's via FM modulator, speak driving directions to me via the BLUETOOTH GPS reciever on the dash (no wires), it also plays DVDs, and using my BLUETOOTH cell phone I can even surf the net while on the road.
A totally connected car!

Don't mess with FM modulators - the quality sucks. Get a casette adapter and run the wiring inside the console like I did. Casette adapter sound quality is honestly 100x better than FM, plus you don't need to connect anything (plus the RX300 uses the FM antenna for AM, and I found putting an FM modulator in-line killed AM reception).
Here is a pic of my MP3 10 CD changer with remote head. Note the casette adapter. The changer is located inside center of the spare tire.

i explored all the options trying to a mp3 player in my rx300, i tried the modulator bit and everything else, i ended up basically scrapping the factory radio and starting from scratch, but if you are dead set on keeping the factory stuff an option i messed with was this:
cut all factory speaker wires
run the factory deck to a source splitter
run the mp3 player to a source splitter
then from the splitter goto an 2 amps
1 amp goes to the speakers
1 amp goes to a sub
thats the basic idea, but i donno if you want togo that into it, best of luck bro! whatever you decide keep us posted its an interesting topic!
