My other car is a 2010 IS250C. It came with Bridgestone Turanza tires on it. Got a flat tire and took it to a Firestone store and was told they couldn't fix it, so I had to buy another tire. Sometime later, got another flat tire and the same story. I no longer liked those Bridgestone tires. Maybe 3 months ago I was looking at the tires and saw that the steel belt was starting to stick out the one side. Anybody old enough to remember the Firestone 500 tires? Well, it appears they are alive and well hiding under the Bridgestone name.

I no longer have Bridgestone tires on my car.

Just an update for anyone interested... I bought the Bridgestone Dueller HL Alenza Plus and have driven maybe 400 miles or so and tires are great...no road noise which was my main concern. They have an 80,000 mile warranty and my tire store owner suggested these over the Micheln Defender which were the two I asked him about. He said no reason to pay more for the Michelen and the Bridgestone had the good warranty. Cheers!

Joelake1; So, it's been three years since you bought your Bridgestone Dueller HL Alenza Plus tires. I am ready to put new tires on my 2007 Rx350. Do you still have those tires on your Lexus? And have they lived up to your expectations as far as mileage and road noise?

Hi CL members,

I like my Bridgestone Duelers at first but in hot S. Fl. heat they seem to dry out at least that's my experience.
So I put the Bridgestones on the back and got some Toyo Versados on the front and I like them.

Here is the Toyo Tires.

We have Michelin Latitude Tour on my wife’s 08 RX350. Great tire in the rain and quiet as well. Only used it on snow a couple of times to ski trip and they are good as well. I would buy the same set next time.

Also have Michelin Primacy MXV4 on my 17 ES350. Again great tires.

Hey Mikey, I think I would get a different tire now. They seem to be more noise than I recall, and definitely more noise than my 2006 Mountaineer. Sorry can't suggest an alternative, but I will not buy these again for the RX 350.

Toyo and Kenda make long lasting tires. Some quiet and some aggressive. Kenda made their name in off road motorcycle racing tires.

I bought a set of Kenda Kinetica's for the front axle of a race car I was building. Took them to the tire shop with the wheels. Mounted per instructions (red dot to rim if one there, otherwise yellow dot to valve stem) and they balanced perfectly without any weights. Zero wheel weights for either tire. Never had that happen in 50+ years of driving and tinkering on cars and trucks ... To say I was impressed would be an understatement

Never seen that either and I prob done 1,000 tires on steel and aluminum rims.
Also, it is Not Cool to see wheel weights smacked on the outside of an Aluminum rim!!!

My wife's '16 RX350 needs new summer tires (we've Nokian for winter). Dealer is recommending either Continental Cross Contact LX25's or Goodyear Assurance Max Life's. He said that Michelin are overpriced and not worth the money. Norm's Tires (Roseville, MN) says either Yokohama Geolander or Michelin Latitude and said if you're not extremely picky to go w/ the Yokohama as it's 1/3 less $'s and nearly as good performance (wet traction, smooth, quiet) as Michelin. I'm leaning towards the Conti's.

My primary thing is to not make a mistake.

Thoughts?

Thanks,

I've got over 250k on my RX. I've tried many brands: Michelin, Bridgestone, Kumho, GoodYear, Firestone, Cooper, and Yokohama. Hands down the best for me has been the General Altimax RT43.

Also have the sister to the RX, 2001 Highlander with over 360K. Again, General Altimax RT43 has been the best. I won't buy anything else.

Take a look at the Michelin Defender LTX M/S. Put them on our RX and very pleased.

Edit: at the current wear rate, may be the only tire to make it past 38k miles.
