Default Rear wiper MOTOR replacement help 07' RX350

Hi - My rear wiper no longer works so I bought a replacement motor. Can anyone tell me how to "get to" the motor so I can swap it?

Thanks - Dean

Are you sure its not rusted solid? My wipr stopped working as well and it ende dup being because it was rusted stuck. I took it all apart and cleaned it up, ended up fixing it.

Install tak off the trims first start up top then the sides no tool really required just be careful not to break the panel cause they are installed with clips that go in at a angle. Once all three are off you will see the wiper motor help on by three ten mm bolts you may need to remove the carpet that is blocking the access to the electrical connection. Disconnect the wiper motor by pressing the tab and pull and separate the clips holding the wire in place . Now take the three bolts off also you will need to remove the wiper arm plastic part to get access to the ten mm bolts behind the plastic part to remove the arm. The arm should come off after a little wiggle without using a wiper arm remover. Now once you remove the three ten mm bolts the wiper motor should come out but I had to hammer the stud from the other side cause it was rusted in there. The used one I got came out no problems.

I was looking at the tailgate on my father's RX400h yesterday (partly due to this), and happened to take a few photos. Take off these two bits of trim, first 1 then 2. They are both fixed to the tailgate with clips, best to use a trim removal tool (like a plastic crowbar).

Wiper motor is here:
