2008 RX aftermarket CD player suggestions?
I just became a first time owner of a Lexus and I'm super stoked about my new ride. Everything is in cherry condition, except the CD player. After reading a few posts on this forum, it sounds like a lot of people have problems with the CD players. So, I think I would prefer to just put in an aftermarket system. Any suggestions on a good touch screen player that looks smooth and goes well underneath the navigation?

I tried using a kit from Crutchfield and everything went ok except for 2 major issues. For some reason I kept hearing a static hum and a constant level no matter the volume and the second issue was that the Metra dash kit provided was stupid. The issue with the Metra kit was that the radio sat so recessed inside the plastic trim that reaching the volume **** was annoying and blocked by the plastic trim. After some frustration I ended up getting an iSimple ISTY531 kit and returned the whole kit back to Crutchfield.
After more research I found the Beat-Sonic RX-82 which seems to fix the stupid faceplate issue. I am contemplating on getting it since it would be nice to have bluetooth audio streaming and not have to plugin the aux cord all the time. The issue is that the RX-82 kit is 400 dollars! The good news is that it is plug and play, no splicing or anything, and also keeps all the factory functions.
