09 vs 10 Rx350 first Lexus reliability maintenance/ upkeep value?
This is new first Lexus purchase (I had a Toyota Scion Tc previously) and cant decided between two different Rx350, I want something reliable and not crazy expensive to upkeep (Im in my late 20s)
'09 upgraded pebble beach edition w/ nav 55,00 miles $18000 ($17000 after negotiation)
Or
'10 w/ navigation 84,000 miles $20500 ($19,75 after negotiation)
Both well maintained, no accidents 1-2 local owners both through Hendricks motor group w/ limited extended warranty to 100000. Both darker grey colors with tan/light grey interiors
*note they just replaced the wheel rack and put warranty on those parts for the 09 (I know this can be a issue for second generation rxs)

I'd go for the 2010.
2009 is nice, but honestly don't get hung up on the NAV system, it's not really that great. All I use it for is a map to reference where I am. Otherwise I just use my phone for places I don't know.
The new body style is nicer and feels roomier, I want to upgrade in the future too hopefully. 84k miles is nothing for the RX350.

I would pick 2010 no questions if only it has nav.
The 2010 non nav is very plain. It rides quieter and handles better due to the body upgrade. I have a 2009 silver pebble beach and its very nice, I paid more than you with higher mileage. When I was testing out cars, 09 vs 10, 11. I did notice the 3rd gen took longer to pickup speed vs 2nd gen was faster. Again this was used cars so maybe the 2nd Gen I tested was maintenance better or etc. One thing I didn't like about 3rd gen was how the dash layout was but most newer Toyota no days are getting that interior dash.
Whatever you buy, its still an awesome car. If you get 09, make sure double check it still has the cup holder divider. These usually go missing on used 2nd gen car.
MPG wise, the newer is better. I came from a 01 to 09 and my mpg jump from 17/19 to 19/24. I can't say for 3rd Gen but I believe its much higher.

Do you prefer the styling of one over another? $1k isn't that big a difference, but you already know that the 2010 will hold it's value better.
I have an 2005, and prefer that 2nd gen styling over the 3rd gen.

Biggest thing I'm looking for is reliability and maintenance/ upkeep cost since this will be my first car completely on my own. I'm involved in Real Estate and Property management so do on occasion need room for clients and to haul furniture and artwork for owners renovating.
I loved the inside of the 2010 and how it looked like the newer models on the road, but a actually preferred the outside of the 2009. The 2009 will come with a powertrain warranty for 3 years as well. The 2009 and 2010 are both in pretty much perfect condition, no parts/ pieces missing.
A 2009 Acura RDX with 70000 miles ($15000) is also an option.... If anyone has knowledge on those
No kids but do have a fiancé and a 1 year old female golden retriever (so cream/ beige interior is a must We typically use my car to go on trips in, since he has a large gas guzzler SUV.

With a V4 motor, The RDX will save you more gas money when visiting properties with your clients. It is lower and smaller than the RX350s and does ride a little more stiff than the Lexus. Besides that its AWD car drives just fine.

I have test driven both twice now. Still undecided :/ leaning more towards the lesser priced with less mileage although the '10 is very nice
