Default Tire Recs for 2009 RX

It's time....the dealer said Hangook or Yokahoma. I've read elsewhere Pirelli Cirturatopy. I am looking for a tire that is quiet and smooth. I think I have Duelers on there right now. 18". I wish I could go bigger for a better ride, but the cost of new wheels is too much. Any recs are appreciated. Thank you!

I just had a set of Continental ProContact (18") put on my '08 RX and I love them. Very quiet and smooth. Excellent in the rain we have in the PNW. I've had these on other cars too, always been happy with them. Go through Tire Rack. They have the best prices and customer service.

FYI, Costco currently has $130 off bridgestones and their tire warranly & free lifetime balance/rotation/flat-repair is very good compare to dealer who charges you for these everytime.
Costco also sells michelins, which are good tires

I went with Michelin latitude tour tires. They are noticeably wider than the stock michelins despite being the same size. Only had them a year before selling the car. No complaints. Was hoping they would last longer than the stock tires. With the age of second gen RXs don't forget to check the condition of the spare. I had to replace mine last year.

How does Tire Rack work? Do they deliver to a shop near you? I don't belong to Costco, so that is out

Tirerack can deliver to a "recommended installer" near you or they can deliver to your house via UPS. Fortunately my regular oil change mechanic is also a tire rack preferred installer so it's convenient for me. I think I've replaced at least six sets of tires this way.
