Default Subtle-Dip

Decided to do a bit of a subtle dip of the RX for the OEM side skirts and rear area. The black from factory was starting to fade and starting to develop some white (tiger) striping.

I was thinking of just re-doing these black and maintaining the factory look but I wanted something slightly different but not too in your face (i.e. kid racer) and it mismatching badly and making the car look 2-toned. So after some umming and erring and checking on some forums (and google images) I settled on "anthracite grey". As plasti-dip is relatively cheap to buy and test out I tried it (if I didn't like it I knew I could peel it off ).

The result is a clean look and doesn't detract too far away from the factory and surprisingly blends in better than I thought. The only things I have left to do know is

1) Possibly add a line on my front lip (as it is all black) and extend it on the seam line that is there.

2) Thinking maybe dipping the wheels or just leave them in their natural alloy colour.

3) Plasti-dip the rear middle to blacken it up and touch up the front lip.

4) Wash the car as she is dirty (rainy weather).

It looks great. The color and look really go well with your headlight mod.

Decided to continue the line on the front lip to blend it in a bit more. As mentioned the front lip has a crease line that runs past the open vents and then disappears on the side. I decided the follow that line and try and follow that on the side. This is the result I ended up with. I like it as it's different and again is not over the top. Excuse the chips in the black parts of the plasti-dip. Need more coats for the black (especially country speed driving) and a touch up (it's held quite well for the last 3 years). Great stuff!!!!

Is that an aftermarket front lip?

Yes it is. I put it on a couple of years ago.
