Default Thug noise under when step on brakes after replacing front/rear brake pad/rotor disc.

My mechanics replaced all my brake pads and rotor disc front and rear with Beck Arnley rotor disc. After 5 miles of test drive, there is a thug noise under the car when you step on the brakes. I brought it back to my mechanic and he double checked all the brake pads and rotor disc and he said all the brakes are fine. He suspect it could be the propeller shaft or the drive shaft bearing or the Transmission. Is anyone out there has encountered this similar problem. Thanks

I own a 04 RX330 but besides I also own an Acura TSX, that I recently changed my front brake pads and rotors. The pads came from Advance Auto I forget which brand but it was there premium pad I too have also noticed a thug / clunk noise when applying the brakes it's very annoying. I'm thinking of replacing with OEM pads from Acura. I think the aftermarket pads are to loose inside of the calipers causing the noise when braking.

Is there a guy under your car trying to steal the Catalytic converter? jk

I think the best way to get advice on a sound is to record it and upload it. If it is due to loose pad are the shims installed correctly?

What pads did you use? and did your mechanic re-use the shims, springs, etc?

Maybe they missed something. a thud is obviously not right. Go back to them and have them fix it.

If it started after the brake job then the problem is likely with those pads or installation. Be sure the slider pins are clean, lubed and not binding as well. This may not be related but I recently had a knock when applying brakes on a higher mileage honda. The front pads were not totally gone but the hardware was rusty so I replaced them. The knock was still there with the new pads though. However, when I pushed in the calipers I could hear one of them binding. I replaced that caliper and the knock went away.
