I have always used Mobil 1. I use it in my Audi, my XKR, and her RX330.

Can you give the full specs of the Mobil 1. I have been using a synthetic oil with spec 5W 30

I checked the Mobil 1 (5W-30), I realized there are two - High mileage 5W-30 and Extended Performance 5W-30... which do you use?

True. This is exactly my case with my RX300. I rather stay with the W30. Not that I don't like/trust synthetic but in this car in particular I vote for the 30... and stay away from synthetic.

Do you mean to say that you don't use synthetic on your RX300.....? I guess 5W-30 is recommended for your car

If you haven't used high mileage oil in your RX, don't start unless there is a reason to do so. There are reasonable arguments for not switching back to regular once high mileage has been used.

I haven't used the Mobil 1 High mileage 5W-30 in my RX, but I am currently using a synthetic oil with spec 5W-30. So, what's your take on the Mobil 1 Extended Performance 5W-30?

I rather NOT use synthetic on my RX300 but that doesn't mean I won't use it in any other vehicle

This link has a better description about how I feel about the motor oil in my RX, hope it helps
