Check Engine Light - OBD Code P2189 - Help!
My 2004 Lexus RX 330 with 116,000 miles has a check engine light on. The code was P2198, the problem: Bank2 Sensor1. I replaced the O2 sensor myself, easy, at $180. I erased the code and the check engine was back on the next day. Not sure what to do next, help.

The code reader said the Bank2 Sensor1, l was very careful about that. I replaced the one right behind the radiator in the front part of the engine, looked like the manifold. You might have a point. Are the two Bank Sensors exactly the same? If so, maybe I bought the correct sensor and replaced the wrong one, or they could both be bad. I did test the old and new sensor with a Volt meter to be sure it was bad. (I'll try to post the picture I looked at to find it.)

Make sure you installed the correct sensor as they are NOT the same p/n and of course not the same sensor but yet they both fit and may look interchangeable.
Also I heard of people with issues with a non Denso O2. I used an aftermarket one cheap from ebay and it held good so far mine was bank1 sensor 1 behind the engine side (firewall side)
Here is my thread for reference and interchangeable part numbers:
