Default I'm on my fifth brake light switch in 12 years

I've never heard of a brake light switch (Lexus calls it a stop light switch assembly), much less had to have one replaced in my life.
My 04 RX was bought new. There was a recall on the switches and the dealer installed a new one at 9700 miles. At 47800 miles I paid for a new one at the dealer. At 69000 the dealer paid for a new one. Today the dealer paid for another one to be replaced at 82400 miles.
I can't complain about them paying for all but one, especially on a 12-year old vehicle, but this is nuts.

Other than this switch, are you fairly happy with the RX330?

I have the standard peeling Bamboo Pearl paint that many have.
And the side mirror actuators had to be replaced at 47k miles.
Overall yes it's a nice vehicle.

Sorry I bought mine. Last problem with it was water leak that left all the floorboard soaked. I extracted about 1/2 gallon.

Probably the front sunroof drain "boxes" just in front of each front door by the feet behind the kick panel. They're known to clog, fill up, and spill water all over the floor. There's a thread here talking about it. It's a terrible design, but that's most likely the cause of water on the floor.
