RX330 2004 Interesting problem with the windows
Hi everyone,
The driver's control switch cannot roll down the other three windows. All three of the other windows roll up/down and their auto roll functions also work. The key fob cannot roll up/down all of the windows automatically when you hold down the unlock button, or when you insert it into the door and turn it. It can however roll up/down the driver's window and the sunroof.
I've checked all fuses, tried the reset function as described by the owner's manual and across this forum, and even purchased a new master switch. After installing the new driver side switch panel, the problem is still around.
Would this be a problem with a controller? Any thoughts as to why this would be happening?
I've tried my best, now I hope someone here can think of a solution!
Best,
Cameron

Hi 02DGS,
Thanks for the reply
I had not unhooked my battery before this problem arose. I did however, in an attempt to force a computer reset, disconnect my battery and reconnected it. The windows stopped auto rolling, proving the reset worked. Then I went through the motions to "fix" the windows in the manner described by the owner's manual. It was successful, in that the auto-roll function worked, but they could still not be controlled from the driver's switch.
I thought it was a bad switch, which is why I bought a new switch and installed it. Unfortunately this did not fix the problem.
Best,
Cameron

I would suggest re-trying the procedure for re-homing. There might be a step missing. Happened to me many times. But re-trying a couple of times resolved the issue, whatever it was. Especially now that you have the new switch installed.
Good luck.
Good luck.

argh i wish i had the thread for you that i suggested to another member.
go through no more then 10 pages I would say...
there is a trick to reset all these functions as you replace battery or if your battery intermittently slowly dies.
its a default car trick to reset features such as exactly what you mentioned. there are other things you will have to do as well
