after-market stereo over ML system
Phew... running the amplifier on rear ML speakers temporarily. piggybacking on stock speaker wiring.
Resistor trick on Nav and stock stereo connectivity works fine. check the photos. (the photo with the connector - the connector has only two wires on mine so zero mistakes)
Waiting for a connector to complete the front speaker circuit. This would be complete tomorrow!
soldered all connections so i dont have to worry about anything coming loose and adding noise to the system.
So 70% of first phase of the project is done.
Next would be to add the aftermarket speakers in.
Any of you guys know whether stock system has a crossover hidden away somewhere for the front speakers?
About the head unit - mid range alpine with a 9 band parametric equaliser, time correction and separate subwoofer out plus an app to change sound settings rather than killing yourself on the head unit menu.
