remove rear upholstery. Tips?
hi,
I finally collected everything to fit the aftermarket audio unit.
Even tested the resistor to keep the factory nav and ac unit working and it works perfectly.
starting to wiring from the amp's end. To reduce the effort, im trying to tap into the factory speaker wire harness and bypass the factory amp.
This problem is accessing the amp without ruining the upholstery. in order to remove the metal plate covering the amp, i need to remove the rear upholstery.
Have any one of you removed them before? I have attached photos. im afraid to just use the upholstery removal kit and pull out anything that I am not supposed to because it will start rattling afterwards.
I have to remove the side panel that cover the suspension strut in order to remove the metal plate.

Just pull the plastic clips out, move the carpet out of the way, unscrew the bolts and nuts holding it in, remove a interior panel (I went passenger side) and the metal plate can be removed.
FYI, the harness has enough slack that all you have to do if you want the wires is just remove the seats and pull down the carpet and reach in and unplug the harness from the amp.
The guys figured it out, it isn't too hard...
