Hidden trick? How to turn off DRL
So excited i had to share from my phone, but not sure if this is already in manual. I stumbled onto this accidentally after thinking my lights malfunctioned.
When car is on drl will be on initially. Park car.
Turn off. Remove key. OPEN DOOR. Turn car back on with headlights in off position. Drl will now be off.
This is vital for some who often camps in their car like me. Funny i was just about to remove the bulbs til that incident.

I have a rx400h so maybe its a bit different.
The e brakes arent a variable for me. It works engaged or dis..
Maybe another rx owner can chime in before i start pondering reasons.

Same generation - the 330 became a 350 in 2006, essentially similar but with an 'improved' slightly larger motor - the belt driving the camshafts etc.. being replaced by a chain. The subsequent 'new' RX350 - third generation - was launched in 2009-2010. The 'new new' RX350 i- fourth generation - is just being launched in 2015-16..

Does anyone know if adding th DRL relay in the fuse box will allow DRL to run? I noticed on my car (Australia) DRL is not "enabled". I noticed in the engine bay fuse box there is a spot for DRL but the fuse "block" is not there it's empty.

You can enable or disable DRL's in Toyota's Techstream software:

Turns out it turns itself off when the E-brake is on, BUT if you are parking after a drive, you still have to park the car, turn off the car, open the door, close it, and re-turn on the car for the DRL to disengage.

Hey VNTR...Sorry for being gone a while. I am dealing with an RX400h too. They are no different as far as DRLs are concerned. The E brake thing only applies when you start the car with the brake engaged. Once you disengage it or if you engage it after starting the car, the lights stay on. The owner's manual mentions this and explains it better than me. But it looks like you might have figured that out.
