How about adding the "Thundercloud Mist" to the list of RX330 exterior colors? I realize it may not be seen all that much as it and Mica Flint are the only two colors that are available on the Thundercloud Editions. But it would be interesting to see how many respond. I believe there were about 6000 Thunderclouds made in 2005 and I would imagine that the majority may have been in the Flint.

Published accounts for the Thudercloud Edition indicate that it was limited to 6,500 total, all for USA. Of that total, I heard (was told by Dealer) that only about 500 were the Thundercloud Metallic color and the remainder were Flint Mica. I have to believe that they are indeed a rarity, as I often get stopped and asked about the color of my RX - Thundercloud Mettalic.

I originally ordered my RX330 in Savannah metallic. The car dealer had every color on the lot but Black Forest Pearl. The salesman downplayed that color as not popular and therefore not attractive. Just prior to receiving the ordered vehicle, I saw a Black Forest Pearl parked in my community. Beautifully polished and strikingly bluish green. I was sold on that color. I called the dealership, cancelled the Savannah on order, and put in a new order for the Forest Pearl. I had to wait an extra month, but it was worth the wait. I rarely see other Black Forest Pearls, (Silver and White seem to be the predominant colors in my area), and have received many compliments on the color and its rarity.

Can anyone point me to a site (or send me a photo) of an RX in Black Forest Pearl. We are having a difficult time finding a RX in that color to look at prior to ordering.

Could you provide me with some guidance on how to find the black forest pearl photo on the site? Or I would really appreciate if you could post a photo of your black forest pearl RX.

Try going to web site "Cars.com" which has both used and new cars. Enter the Lexus 330 and other data and see the list of many RXs. Shorten the list by entering Green or Black Forest Pearl and see a few used green RXs with fairly good pictures. The Black Forest Pearl green on the RX is chameleon-like, depending on the light and time of day. The look can vary from blue green to dark green, to almost black in low light. In any case, it is a beautfiul color, and the rarest of the RXs colors. You won't be disappointed.

Good question. Why is red not a good RX color? Bright red may not be the best choice for the RX, but a deep burgundy might be really sharp.
