RX-350 Thermostat Replacement Help Plz!
Hi
My Wife's 2008 RX-350 shows signs of needing a new thermostat. I've done these many times on may different vehicles, but where do I start on this 350? First, there's not really a top heater hose like I'm used to. Looks like there's 2 heater hoses on opposite sides of the bottom of the radiator. The one on the left of the engine (my right when opening the hood) looks like the best candidate for a thermostat housing, but it doesn't lead to a simple housing with a couple of 10mm or so bolts, but instead appears to be a double housing with a bunch of other crap attached to it. Can someone please help me determine what I need to do to replace this thermostat? This should be a simple repair IMHO but I don't want to make things worse and disconnect a lot of unnecessary hardware but also don't want to have to pay a bunch of cash for something that should be super easy. Funny, I thought my Daughter's Honda CRX was tricky when I had to replace her thermostat a few months back (the thermostat was actually on the bottom of the block connected by a bottom heater hose) but this one even trickier. I miss the days of follow a top heater hose, remove 2 bolts, pop/replace thermostat and done but oh well.
Thank you in advance for any guidance!

Kevin,
The thermostat is located on your left hand side towards the bottom of the engine. When you open the hood is going to be the hose located in your left. See Attached diagram.
