Default Raining Sensing Button on inside of Windshield ?

My 2004 Lexus RX 330 has the rain sensor on the upper inside of my windshield by the mirror. There is a blue button on this sensor, what is that button for, what does it do?

Interesting question, I'll have to take a look if my 2007 RX350 also has this button and hope somebody comes up with the answer.

That piece is not stock. Googled the part number and got this

Looks like it is part of a security/remote start system.

The button is for your aftermarket security or remote start system. It is the valet button.

Wow, you guys are good and really on top of things. Thanks so much. I am learning new things about this car every day. I actually had the remote installed by the dealer when I bought the car.

So does anyone know what the valet button is for and how to use it?

The valet button is usually used to program the alarm system and to disable the alarm if the remote battery is dead. You would need to refer to the alarm manual that the dealer should have given you when they installed it.
