Cracked dash
Have a 2008 RX350. It is our first Lexus product . The dashboard has begun to crack. Now has 4 cracks of various sizes. Contacted Lexus they said too bad. This should not happen to a Luxury vehicle. Sure makes the interior look like crap. Will have to think long and hard before buying another

Seems to be a big problem in Florida. See this thread:

I'm sorry to hear about your dashboard!
I just recently purchased my RX350 and upon research, the cracked dashboard was one of my biggest concerns. I was even poking, prodding and touching the dashboard at the dealership to look for signs of dehydration, cracks or splits.
I did notice that the cracked dashboards seem to occur a lot in Florida and Texas (based on forum members feedback). I believe I saw a thread were there was a great restoration place in Florida that would fix your dashboard nicely for around $500. Maybe try searching the forum to see what you find!
I hope that helps!

I've had many more problems with my 04 RX330 than my 06 4Runner. Overall I think Toyota makes a great product, but the common areas on the RX (dashboard, paint peeling, side mirrors not working, etc) were an issue for many of us.

2006 RX 330 Cracked Dashboard
I bought a platinum warranty and the service advisor said the dashboard is not included. I insisted this type of luxury car should not have cracked dashboard. He then said he'd submit a good faith report to see if the Lexus company would cover the dashboard. They have specific criteria to determine if they replace it or not ,such as if the car was bought at their dealership, how much money you have spent on servicing and your loyalty to Lexus. To me this is cherry picking at it's best. I call it discriminatory. Lexus should be ashamed of themselves.

I keep reading people saying that "a luxury car should not have a cracked dash"...Well I think that is crap. I definitely agree that the rate at which these dashes crack is far too high and Lexus should do something...but any dash will crack if it is not taken care of. If you live in a hot climate you should condition the vinyl, use sunshades, NEVER use Armoral, etc. Furthermore, a luxury car's dash is even more likely to crack than a non luxury car. Non-luxury cars generally use hard plastic for their dashes and luxury cars generally use vinyl or leather on their dashes to add a soft touch. Hard plastic is much more durable than vinyl or leather so while Lexus should do something because this is happening at a higher rate, the excuse that this shouldn't happen in a luxury car doesn't really fly.
